Stephanie Alston
After growing up in Wilmington, NC, Stephanie and her family relocated to the Grand Strand about 6 years ago. Stephanie joined the Classic Team in fall of 2006, and is a valuable member of the team. Her duties include working the front desk and working in Warranty, which really gives her a good opportunity to interact with clients and assist them the best way possible.
Stephanie's expertise and knowledge of home building helps her contribute to the success of Classic Home Building & Design. When away from work, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, and doing things that they all really enjoy.
Mike Bowser
Mike is a South Carolina certified builder with over 14 years of experience in the industry. Mike joined the Classic team in August, 2003, after moving to the area from Ohio in 1995. He is currently a jobsite superintendent. His duties include scheduling subcontractors, as well as overseeing all of their work. He also orders materials, schedules their delivery, and frequently confers with the on-site sales agent and the purchasers of the homes he's building.
Mike lives in Murrells Inlet with his wife, Sue. They have been happily married for 30 years, and have three sons, two grandsons, and one beautiful daughter-in-law. He enjoys most sports, especially golf and football.
Dawn Deal
Dawn has been with Classic Home Building & Design since April 2003. She has been in the Myrtle Beach area since 1989, having graduated high school and college here. She has been in the field of development, including residential building and commercial development since 1995. Dawn and her husband, Brian, have two children, Payton and Max.
Steve Dettinger
A transplant from South Central, PA, Steve performed various duties in his 30- year tenure with a large cabinet manufacturing company. He has designed kitchens for schools and rehab projects throughout the northeast.
Most recently, Steve managed a kitchen showroom in Pennsylvania, where he and his staff designed and sold kitchens, baths and entertainment centers for their retail customers.
Several years ago, Steve completed a rigorous course of study and passed the National Kitchen and Bath Association’s certification test. This earned him a “CKD” (Certified Kitchen Designer) designation, one of the few kitchen designers on the Grand Strand to earn those credentials.
Steve lives in the North Myrtle Beach area with his wife, Kim and shih-tzu Remmie. In his spare time, he enjoys riding his Honda Goldwing and losing golf balls.
Glenn Fair
Ann Gause
Ann has over 14 years of experience in the building industry, eleven of which she spent working with Susan White herself. Specializing in purchasing, Ann's duties at Classic Home Building & Design include ordering building materials and assisting with the scheduling of sub-contractors. Studying business management, accounting, and computer programming at a small business college, Ann is particularly proud of the fact that most of her experience and knowledge regarding building and construction has been 'hands on'.
Beyond her duties at Classic Home Building & Design, Ann is the definition of a "baseball mom." She has three sons who are on two baseball teams apiece, so she spends most of her "weekends and evenings at a baseball field somewhere."
Carolyn M. Greaves
Originally from Kirkland, Ohio, Carolyn joined the Classic team in 2001 shortly after earning her Real Estate License. She has lived in the area for over 10 years. Carolyn works closely with clients and local Realtors© in helping them find the perfect floor plan and perfect home site on which to build, whether it is an existing home design of their own, or one that the Classic Homes design team creates for them.
Carolyn has two children, Danielle and Christian. In their spare time, they enjoy multiple sporting events from golf, basketball, football, soccer, and swimming.
Leslie Martin
Being born and raised in Horry County, Leslie knows the beach all too well. She’s had the privilege of working in the customer service field for nine years, so her job duties at Classic are perfect for her. Throughout the building process, Leslie assists her homeowners in choosing all of their favorite components in their new home from the plumbing fixtures to exterior paint colors.
Leslie loves the outdoors. Fishing with her husband Lauche and playing outside with their two children are her favorite things to do when she’s away from work.
Ray Morin
Born and raised in Connecticut, Ray attended Oliver Wolcott Technical High School in Torrington, majoring in carpentry.
After high school he attended a year of college; then went to work in various residential construction fields, where he acquired a vast array of knowledge and became a Master Carpenter. For the past 15 years Ray has specialized in high –end construction management, and became state licensed as a Construction Inspector in 1998.
In 2004 Ray moved to Myrtle Beach to join friends, in favor of the beautiful climate and southern hospitality.
He has been happily married for 12 years to his wife, Lise, and has several pets. He enjoys gardening, custom furniture building and collecting vintage Pez Dispensers.
Dan Riley
Dan started with Classic Home Building & Design in September of 2000 bringing with him many years of building and construction experience. He moved to the Grand Strand in 1995, from New York, with his wife, Alison. He enjoys sports shooting, hunting, golf and other outdoor activities, but most of all, building houses.
Gary Souza
Gary came to Classic Home Building & Design from Cape Cod, MA, where he spent 19 years with a high-end custom homebuilder. During those years Gary performed various duties such as estimating, design, job costing, sales, scheduling, customer relations and project supervision.
Gary received degrees in Industrial Technology and Business from Berry College in Rome, GA, where he also enjoyed running track and cross country.
He and his wife Tonya live in Galivants Ferry in a recently completed home they designed, built and decorated together. They have two sons, John & Alex.
Gary is very pleased to be part of the Classic Team, and he hopes to contribute to the future growth and sucess of the company.
Berkley L. White
As a boy, Berkley White received his appreciation for home building from his mother, Susan, and his father, Logan, who were pursuing successful careers in the Home Building industry. Later, Berkley would learn his own appreciation for the craft of home construction by working on an endless parade of home sites, eventually running his own framing business as a young man.
Now, as owner and vice president of Classic Home Building & Design, Berkley oversees the estimating, scheduling, and managing of the subcontractors, and was honored as Homebuilder of the Year in 2002 for those skills.
Born in Greensboro, NC, Berkley has been living in Horry County for over 20 years. He has been married for 8 years to his lovely wife, Kim, who is also a key member of the Classic Home Building team. They have two sons, Will and Wade. Berkley is an active member in his community, serving different roles on the board of Horry Georgetown Home Builders Association and Board Member of Myrtle Beach Chamber of Commerce.
Kim G. White
After earning an associates degree in Architectural Drafting, Kim went on to become an honor graduate of Auburn University with a bachelor’s degree in Building Construction.
During her 3 years at Auburn, Kim was an active member of the Builders Guild, and was elected as the 1st woman president her senior year. Kim was also an invited member of Sigma Lambda Chi.
The year after graduating Kim worked as an estimator for a commercial contractor. She had the opportunity to go into business for herself, and spent the next 2 years establishing an electronic prepress center with her brother. That company has since grown to a successful printing operation, and Kim found her way back to the field of construction.
Residential construction is Kim’s personal love, and she has worked for several years as a custom home designer. Kim has had many duties including: helping customers blend their wish list with their budget; producing estimates; writing contracts; keeping homeowners informed of the construction progress; and coordinating changes.
Susan H. White
Susan White’s involvement in the home building and design industry began for her as a little girl, growing up in a Cape Cod style home her mother designed and her father built. Born in High Point, NC, Susan has been living and working in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, since 1983.
Having owned and operated two residential and commercial development companies along the Grand Strand before starting Classic Home Building & Design with her son, Berkley, Susan is well acquainted with the area, the trends, and the business. As a Residential Home Designer since 1974, and a certified Interior Designer since 1975, Susan knows custom home building quite literally from the inside out - from conception to interior design.
Susan is mother to three grown children, Berkley, Abraham, and Liza, and married to Tom Ferriott; they have four amazing grandsons, Will, Wade, Abraham, and Anderson. She is an active member in her community and a member of Trinity Episcopal Church in Myrtle Beach.
Jim Wright
Anna Marie Zambriczki
Anna Marie, a former resident of the Philadelphia area, relocated to South Carolina with her husband and mother in 2004. Shortly thereafter, her two sons followed with her oldest son and daughter-in-law moving to Charleston, while the youngest son lives in the Murrell’s Inlet area. She feels blessed to have her whole family with her here in the Myrtle Beach area.
Anna Marie joined the Classic team in 2005, bringing with her an Associates Degree and over 15 years of office management experience. Primarily the bookkeeper and an administrative assistant, she loves to keep busy, wearing many hats in the performance of her daily duties.
In her spare time, Anna Marie enjoys going out dancing and spending time with her grand-puppies, secretly hoping someday soon to enjoy spoiling grand children as well.
